Jon Tester is a third-generation Montana farmer, Tester has farmed the same land his Grandparents homesteaded since 1978. He and his wife Sharla believe strongly in family farm agriculture and public dollars to support unbiased research benefiting ag production. Nearly 40 years ago Jon transitioned his farm to organic production to help with soil health and financial sustainability. Jon Tester also has served in public service from the local Soil Conservation Board to the United States Senate and almost everything in between. While in the Senate he fought for a myriad of issues from our nations veterans, to common sense ag policy, to policies to promote clean water and air, to issues around our climate, to a major investment in infrastructure. Jon believes that we are all in this world together and that it is incumbent upon The US as the richest nation in the world to help combat hunger and poverty.
