Gen. Anthony Zinni retired after a four-decade career in the Marine Corps. His last assignment was as commander of the US Central Command. He has published four books including two New York Times best sellers, one co-authored with Tom Clancy. He has had careers as a university professor holding chairs at nine universities, as a peace mediator and negotiator leading thirteen missions including the Israeli Palestinian conflict, and as a corporate executive, including being chairman and CEO of BAE Systems. He has a doctorate degree, three master's degrees, a bachelor's degree, and four honorary doctorate degrees.
