Rev. Dr. David Beckmann won the World Food Prize for decades of leadership of legislative advocacy that helped to reduce world hunger through increased and improved U.S. aid programs. He is Coordinator of the Circle of Protection, an advocacy coalition of church bodies and related organizations with a combined membership of 100 million people. He is also President Emeritus of both Bread for the World and the Alliance to End Hunger.
