

Morven McLean is Executive Director of Networks & Innovation and Professor of Practice at the Washington University School of Public Health, where she also serves as the inaugural Director of the Food and Agriculture Research Mission (FARM). An agricultural scientist with over 25 years of global experience, she focuses on advancing applied research, strengthening food systems, and building institutional capacity to support innovation and science-based policy. Prior to joining WashU, Morven was Director of Global Strategy, Regulatory & Public Affairs at Gates Agricultural Innovations (Gates Ag One). She has served as a technical expert to the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization, the World Bank, and the U.S. Agency for International Development, as well as numerous national governments across sub-Saharan Africa, South Asia, and South America. Morven holds degrees from McGill University (BSc), the University of Guelph (MSc), and the University of British Columbia (PhD).
