Jerry Glover

Jerry is a National Geographic Society Explorer and an internationally recognized agricultural research and development expert. He was most recently the Deputy Director for USAID’s Center for Agriculture in Washington, DC, USA. Jerry’s scientific work covers natural and agricultural systems, including horticultural, conservation agriculture, organic, and mixed crop-livestock systems. He earned undergraduate degrees in crop and soil science and philosophy and a doctoral degree in crop and soil science from Washington State University. Jerry is an Elected Fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science, the Soil Science Society of America, the American Society of Agronomy, and the Crop Science Society of America.
