

Anne Knapke is a mission-driven leader with more than 20 years of experience domestically and globally bridging policy and strategy to confront pressing challenges in food and nutrition security. She has worked within government, advocacy, philanthropy, and corporate environments, shaping and executing high-impact strategies, translating complexity into tangible action and building cross-stakeholder coalitions. She served as Deputy Chief of Staff at the U.S. Department of Agriculture during the Biden Administration, and previously, on Capitol Hill as Legislative Director for U.S. Senator Amy Klobuchar. Anne has held senior roles at the Meridian Institute, leading climate and agriculture strategy, and the Gates Foundation, focused on global nutrition and agricultural development. She started her career working on agriculture and trade policy at Cargill. Anne is a graduate of the Ohio State University and holds master’s degrees in public policy and social service administration from the University of Chicago. Originally from southwest Ohio, she lives in Washington, DC.
