Lauren Pincus

Lauren Pincus serves as the Senior Advisor for Resilient Agriculture at Mercy Corps where, under the PRO-WASH & SCALE award, she provides technical support, capacity strengthening, and knowledge sharing opportunities for a range of agriculture and food security programs globally. Her previous roles include both implementation and applied research of agricultural development programs. Prior to Mercy Corps, she led value chains research on small-scale fishers as the Value Chain Scientist at WorldFish, a CG center headquartered in Malaysia. She spent six years in East Africa, first as a post-doctoral researcher working at the nexus of health and agriculture, then as the Technical Director of a Rwanda-based NGO conducting nutrition-sensitive agriculture programs with schools, refugees, and community groups. Lauren has expertise in climate resilient agriculture, nutrition sensitive agriculture, market systems development, and seed sector development. She earned an M.S. in International Agricultural Development and a Ph.D. in Horticulture and Agronomy from the University of California, Davis.
